Riccardo Tisci is showing only 10 looks in Givenchy haute couture 2012 collection, but all are extraordinary.

Inspired by Fritz Lang’s 1927 film “Metropolis”, it’s dark and fierce.
Models wore oversized earrings and elaborate nose rings. Heavily beaded crystals were placed over the silk gowns.

A chocolate brown crocodile long dress shows workmanship of Givenchy atelier with handling precious animal skin. Crocodile was cut by scales and carefully reassembled, lastly sewn by hand onto silk tulle. It literally took 350 hours and the dress is beautifully done! You only see this kind of time-consuming and labor-intensive crafts in haute couture.
